I’m posting it here as I’m after a little help from yourselves in creating the video for the song which I would like to feature as many postcards as possible, for which I’m inviting you all to contribute the postcards.

These don’t have to be real postcards you’ve received in the post — an original drawing or picture you’ve made yourself will do fine, so long as it’s postcard size. You also don’t have to post them to me, just send me photographs or scans of the postcard(s) by email that you would like to see in the video.

Please email your photographs or scans to. Don’t worry about making them ultra high quality as I’m not going to be using them for printing, 72dpi is fine. You can photograph or scan the front or back of the postcard, or both if you wish. Even a photograph taken on your phone camera is fine. I’ll try to get as many as I can into the video.

This is the first of a number of collaborations I have planned for the album, more to follow.

I’ll be taking submissions for the video upto the end of February.

I set myself a challenge on Christmas eve to write and record an xmas themed song. I managed it, but by the time I’d edited the video and waited for it to upload to Youtube I only had time to email it to a few friends before heading back home for xmas so here is a slightly late Sugardrum Merry Crimbo video :)

The story is inspired by “The Price”, a short story by Neil Gaiman from his book “Smoke and Mirrors”. Instead of a cat being the Guardian Angel it’s the fairy on top of the tree.

Recording of the new album is going well. I’ll post up some photos from the recording sessions soon.

Ah, what a lovely couple of festivals Tribal Earth and Small World were. Big thank you to those who came to hear me play and to Storme for his excellent percussion skills at Tribal Earth.

Not as many photos taken by me as usual,  just a few random slightly blurry night shots. I do like the way rainbows appear quietly in the background, offering us a brief escape from the chaos that sometimes surrounds us. Once I saw one from the window of a train but no one else seemed to notice it as it followed us on our journey.

Anyway, enough rambling on about rainbows, that’s it for festivals for me for this year. Just a gig at the Gallery Cafe on Sat 24th Sep which you should all come to as it will be amazing as the other acts sound great, then I’m going to focus on trying to get an album recorded, yay!
